What's so fascinating about this to me is the range of _history_ it brings. Melodies hundreds of years old brought through 19th-century techniques of symphonic harmony, and then into the 21st century with electronic rhythm, backing and dance. Just this epic sweep of a musical journey. 🤯

I think it's safe to say that all those pop stars and mainstream musicians can pack their bags and go home, in 2021 a new way of making banging music has arisen.
It has essentially proven that pop and folk are different, pop being popular for the people, folk in essence made by the people. Plus with how limited entry is to the music industry, it becomes a new form of "elitist" (for lack of a better word) music similar to classical music back in the day where only the rich and educated could it make.

I haven’t made the time to google it today as I know it’ll turn into one of those information rabbit holes for me. I’m kind of guessing it means a bass range, which he’s definitely got. The thing with his sound in particular, it’s smooth like butter. Often the sound of tenor/bass/baritone voices otherwise grate and make my eardrums reverberate too much.

They come from broken homes more often than not and are more respectful to elders than my generation (boomer) ever was, and put up with people calling them lazy.
